JOB DESCRIPTION

We require a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Building Services to lead the mechanical design on a variety of projects such as commercial high rise buildings, data centre and pharmaceutical projects

You will be expected to be comfortable working through all RIBA project stages across various projects in Client side or contractor side appointments.

roles and responsbilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management team in developing fee proposals
  • Managing projects - Take ownership of the mechanical design in a client facing role and participate or chair project meetings.
  • Managing the mechanical design process and associated system including templates, calculations, specifications and drawings.
  • Mentoring mechanical engineers
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant standards and regulations
  • To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering
    • 6+ years previous experience in a Mechanical Engineer role in similar projects to that mentioned above
    • Experience using AutoCAD essential. Experience using Revit desirable
    • Familiarity with industry design standards such as CIBSE
    • Experience of BREEAM or having working familiarity with environmental assessment methods
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
    • Ability to work fully remotely
    • Permission to legally work in the UK and Ireland
    • Driving licence and own transport
